Any tricks like this if i run Linux or Macintosh? As i see it's only for windows.. xp, right? But not everybody use it and i, for example don't think it's the best OS out there. I'm using Novell openSuSe Linux and i'm getting really good at it and like it a lot more than any version of Microsoft Windows OS..

It's not a real CPU. They've just made that name up, to make it seem like you have a unique CPU.

wow thats really a funny trick. But if you change the registry entry wont there be any problem in running the system later?
what about this trick whether it works on all the platforms?

Archy: you are just going to be editing the name, that is showed in my computer... The more detaild info isn't at this entry... And by the way: no, it's no cross platform...
