i think the most people just use an antie virus with firewall, on xp i had a very greta firewall (sygate)but i'm already a years vista user and need one so i don't use a firewall now..


Doe you people use one? Yes whitch ?

ZoneAlarm, its also gratis and i read some article, namely that it protects very well. Then of course adaware to clean the PC from Trojans.

i don't use any firewall program i only use default windows firewall am i outdated?

i never use firewall, last time i use firewall, my computer crash oftenly.
so, i'll just default firewall built in windows.

well i am using kaspersky Internet security with firewall..Its a great program . The good thing is it Blocks POPup averts also..

@ alec11 - i think Firewall is necessary ..you should use it..It gives protection from hackers.. :cool:You can also use NOD 32 protection , as it is also as good as Kaspersky..

i use windows default firewall....it works fine for me...i used kaspersky...but its firewall are so much secured that it makes me bored...before i used norton..but it makes my pc so slow that i cant continue that...windows defender works great for me..

does someone know a good firewall for vista, like you see the ip of the one that atk you ect....

(same as sygate but than for vista)

I think that a secure firewall is needed.

I use some, I have forgotten its name now, if I remember it I will post its name.

the firewall that comes with Xp/ Vista is a lot good when compared to the firewalls provided by the antivirus programs cause it doesnt takes much memory usage and also it ll be upgraded automatically so i prefer going for the firewal provided by microsfot it self

I don't actually have a firewall program but my router has a NAT firewall

i am using window firewall....came with my win xp cd....`

ESET NOD32.

tried so many, and it's my favorite. ZoneAlarm isn't bad either, installed it for my mom `
